MILITARY SERVICE:
    Judge Simmons entered the US Air Force in 1967 as a 2nd Lieutenant and left active duty in 1973 as a Captain.
    Unit Assignment/Officer History:
  • Graduate of Air Command and Staff School and Air War College
  • Served in Vietnam from June 1968 until June 1969 as a member of the 355th Tactical Fighter Squadron
  • Chief of Munitions Storage for the US Air Force in Europe from 1971 until 1973
  • Member, Defense Nuclear Agency Field Command Joint Nuclear Accident and Incident Response Team, 1973
      In 1978, Judge Simmons joined the US Air Force Reserves. He retired from the USAFR in January 1995 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

      • Aeronautical Systems Division (ASD); Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio 1983 - 1995
