FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Court Interpreting Services provide, coordinate and oversee foreign language interpreters for court proceedings in both Brevard and Seminole Counties. The office employs one Spanish-language interpreters and utilizes the services of freelance interpreters who work on a per diem basis. Spanish is the most common foreign language for which interpreter services are used, but other languages include Russian, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Portuguese, Cambodian, Czechoslovakian and Tagalog, to name a few.
Court interpreters are language professionals whose role is to place non-English speakers on equal footing with English speakers of similar educational and cultural background, by removing the language barrier.
